Paragliding & Aviation
I love the feeling of soaring, reading the air, finding lift, and seeing the world from a different perspective.
SYSTEMS, TECHNOLOGY & LIFE
Systems at work.
Curiosity everywhere.
Mainframe systems at work; electronics, radio, and the outdoors beyond it. A personal space for my interests and things I pick up along the way.
A little about meI’m a computer engineer currently based in Ankara. I’ve worked with IBM Z (mainframe) systems since 2008—systems most people rarely hear about, yet rely on in everyday life. Over the years, my work has spanned systems programming, architecture, international projects, and team management.
What I enjoy most is understanding complex problems, finding practical solutions, helping people, and learning something new.
My curiosity goes beyond work: electronics, home automation, AI, quantum computing, even gardening. When something catches my interest, I tend to follow it through. I’m also an amateur radio operator—my call sign is TA2LAW—and I love paragliding whenever I get the chance.
Above all, I value time with my wife, Gülşen, and our son, Uzay. His questions help me see the world afresh, with a little more curiosity of my own.
This site is a personal corner of the web for my interests and things I’ve learned along the way, rather than a regularly updated blog.
I love the feeling of soaring, reading the air, finding lift, and seeing the world from a different perspective.
Exploring how machines reason, make mistakes, and sometimes behave surprisingly like humans.
Experimenting with sensors, Raspberry Pi, home automation, and finding practical ways to make different systems work together.
Exploring signals, communication, and the fascinating world of radio. My call sign is TA2LAW.
Trying to understand what quantum computers genuinely do differently, and where their potential might lead us.
A different kind of experimentation, where nature sets the rules and patience matters more than processing power.
